My Tesco Colleague App:
The Complete Guide

Everything you need to know about the My Tesco Colleague app, what it does, how to download it, phone requirements, how to set it up from scratch, and how to get the most out of it as a Tesco colleague in 2026-2027.

What Is the My Tesco Colleague App?

The My Tesco Colleague app is Tesco’s official mobile application for all UK colleagues. It is the primary digital touchpoint between you and Tesco as your employer — the place where you access your payslips, view your rota, book holiday, complete mandatory training, read company news, and manage most day-to-day employment admin from your phone.

Launched as part of Tesco’s shift away from older systems like Work & Pay and the standalone Payslipview platform, the app has become the single most important digital tool for colleagues. In 2026 it is effectively the replacement for all those legacy systems. If you are not on the app, you are missing the main channel Tesco uses to communicate with and serve its colleagues.

I have been using it since it first rolled out and have watched it improve significantly with each update. It is not perfect — there are still areas where it lags behind what Work & Pay used to offer in terms of payslip detail, and the rota view has its quirks — but as a single app covering the full scope of what a colleague needs, it is genuinely useful and worth learning properly rather than just dipping into for payslips.

UK colleagues onlyThe My Tesco Colleague app is for UK colleagues. If you work for Tesco in the Republic of Ireland, your payslip system is separate — go to tescoirelandpayslips.com/mobile/login.aspx for payslips. OurTesco at ourtesco.com covers some colleague functions for Ireland too, but the main app is UK-focused.

What Can You Use the My Tesco Colleague App For?

The app covers a much wider range of functions than most colleagues realise. Most people download it for payslips and never explore beyond that. Here is everything it can do.

Payslips & P60

Access your monthly payslips as downloadable PDFs. Your P60 is also here at the end of each tax year. Navigate to Menu → Documents → Pay. This is the primary payslip route in 2026, replacing Payslipview.com and Work & Pay.

Rota & Shift View

See your upcoming shifts, shift times, and location. You can view several weeks ahead depending on how far your store plans the rota. The rota view shows your contracted shifts and any additional hours that have been added.

Holiday Booking & Balances

Check your annual leave balance, request holiday, and see the status of pending or approved requests. You can also view any absence records on your profile. This replaced much of the holiday management that used to be done via Work & Pay or paper forms in some stores.

Mandatory Training & Learning

Access and complete mandatory eLearning modules directly through the app. Food safety, fire safety, customer service modules, and role-specific training are all accessible here. Completing training on time is tracked and visible to your manager.

Company News & Communications

Tesco publishes colleague communications, policy updates, and company news through the app. This is how Tesco keeps colleagues informed about changes to pay rates, benefits, processes, and company performance without relying on notice boards alone.

Colleague Benefits & Discounts

Access the full Tesco colleague benefits package including your Colleague Clubcard, discount information, and links to the wider benefits portal. Your Colleague Clubcard gives you 10% off most purchases at Tesco stores and petrol stations, and the app is one of the quickest ways to access your card details.

Colleague Recognition

Send and receive colleague recognition through the app. Tesco has a recognition system where colleagues and managers can thank and recognise each other for good work. It sounds like a small thing but having a visible recognition record can be helpful at performance reviews.

Personal Details & Profile

View and update certain personal details including your contact information. Keeping your address and phone number up to date in the system is important — your final payslip if you ever leave Tesco goes to the address on file, and HR will contact you on the phone number registered here.

HR Documents

Beyond payslips, the Documents section holds other HR-related documents that may be relevant to your employment. This includes things like contract variations, formal letters, and other employment documentation depending on your role and history with Tesco.

Phone & Device Requirements

The My Tesco Colleague app works on both iOS (Apple) and Android devices. Here is what you need to run it reliably in 2026.

Do I Need a Smartphone?

Yes. The My Tesco Colleague app requires a smartphone running a supported version of iOS or Android. It is not available for basic phones or feature phones. If you do not have a compatible smartphone, you can access most of the same functions through a browser on any computer or tablet by going to ourtesco.com/experience — this is the web version of the same colleague portal and uses the same login credentials.

Can I Use It on a Tablet or iPad?

The app is designed primarily for phones but will run on an iPad or Android tablet. The layout is not specifically optimised for tablet screens — it will typically display as a phone-sized layout — but it is fully functional. For tablet users, the browser version at ourtesco.com/experience often gives a better experience on a larger screen.

Can I Use the App Without Mobile Data?

You need an internet connection to use the app — it is not designed for offline use. Most functions require a live connection to Tesco’s servers. If you are in an area with poor signal, connect to Wi-Fi before using the app. The store’s staff Wi-Fi network (if your store has one) can be used during your shift if you need to access the app at work.

Older phones: check your OS version firstBefore trying to download the app, check what version of iOS or Android your phone is running. On iPhone, go to Settings → General → About. On Android, go to Settings → About Phone → Software Information. If your phone is running an older OS version that is not supported, the app will not appear in the app store or will fail to install. If your phone cannot update to a supported OS version, use the browser version of OurTesco instead.

How to Download the My Tesco Colleague App

The download process is straightforward but there are a few things worth knowing to make sure you get the right app and avoid confusion with Tesco’s customer-facing apps.

Downloading on iPhone or iPad (iOS)

  1. Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Tap the Search tab at the bottom of the screen and type “My Tesco” or “Tesco Colleague”.
  3. Look for the app published by Tesco PLC. Be careful not to confuse it with the Tesco Groceries app or the standard Tesco app — those are customer-facing apps and will not give you colleague access. The colleague app may appear as “My Tesco” or “OurTesco” depending on when it was last updated.
  4. Tap Get and authenticate with your Apple ID or Face ID / Touch ID to confirm the download.
  5. Wait for the download to complete. The app icon will appear on your home screen.

Downloading on Android

  1. Open the Google Play Store on your Android phone or tablet.
  2. Tap the Search bar at the top and type “My Tesco” or “Tesco Colleague”.
  3. Find the app published by Tesco PLC. Again, make sure it is the colleague app and not the grocery shopping app.
  4. Tap Install and accept any permission requests. The app needs access to your camera, notifications, and storage to function fully.
  5. Once installed, tap Open or find the app icon in your app drawer.

Alternative: Download via OurTesco

You can also find a direct download link for the app by going to www.ourtesco.com from your phone’s browser. The site will detect your device type and provide a link directly to the correct app store listing. This is useful if you are having trouble finding the right app in a search.

Only download from official app storesOnly ever download the My Tesco Colleague app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Do not download it from any third-party website or app store. There are fake versions of workplace apps in circulation that are designed to steal login credentials. The official app is free and only available through the two official stores listed above.

How to Set Up the My Tesco Colleague App — Step by Step

Setting up the app for the first time is where most colleagues hit problems. Here is a full walkthrough of the setup process, including the parts that are not obvious, and what to do if something goes wrong at each stage.

What You Need Before You Start

  • Your Tesco colleague number — this is on your contract of employment and on any paper payslip you have received. It is typically a 6 or 7 digit number. Ask your store manager or admin if you cannot find it.
  • Your Tesco colleague email address — usually in the format [email protected] or a variation using your colleague number. Your manager can confirm the exact format used for your account.
  • Your date of birth — used for identity verification during registration.
  • Access to the email address registered to your account — you will need to verify it during setup.
  • A mobile phone number — used for two-factor authentication (2FA). This should be your personal number.

Step-by-Step Setup for New Colleagues

  1. Open the app and on the welcome screen, tap Register or Create Account. Do not tap Sign In yet — if you have never set up an account you will not have a password to sign in with.
  2. Enter your colleague number when prompted. This is your unique employee identifier in Tesco’s systems. Double-check it carefully — an incorrect colleague number will result in an error or, worse, an attempt to register against the wrong account.
  3. Enter your date of birth for identity verification. This must match exactly what is on file with Tesco HR — the date you provided when you completed your starter paperwork.
  4. Verify your colleague email address. An email will be sent to your Tesco colleague email. Open that email and click the verification link. If you cannot access your Tesco email yet, ask your manager to help — your email account should have been set up when you started. Some stores do this on your first day, others take a few days.
  5. Create a password. Choose a strong password — at least 12 characters, mixing upper and lower case letters, numbers, and a symbol. Do not reuse a password you use elsewhere. Tesco’s systems handle sensitive employment and financial data and deserve a proper password.
  6. Set up two-factor authentication (2FA). You will be asked to add a mobile phone number. When you log in, a verification code will be sent to this number. This is a security measure and you cannot opt out of it. Make sure the number you register is one you have regular access to — your personal mobile is ideal.
  7. Accept the terms and permissions. The app will ask for camera access (for some features), notification permissions (strongly recommended — you want rota alerts), and storage access (for downloading payslip PDFs). Accept these to get the full functionality.
  8. You are in. After completing registration, you will land on the app home screen. Take a few minutes to explore the menu — tap the three lines in the top right to see all sections.

How Long Does Setup Take?

If everything goes smoothly — you have your colleague number, your Tesco email is active, and the verification email arrives quickly — setup takes about 10 minutes. The most common delay is waiting for the verification email, which can take up to 15 minutes in some cases. If it has not arrived after 20 minutes, check your spam folder and then contact your store admin.

Setting Up as an Existing Colleague Moving from Work & Pay

If you already have an OurTesco account from the Work & Pay era, you may already have credentials that work with the app. Try tapping Sign In first and entering your existing OurTesco email and password. Many colleagues find their existing login works directly in the app without needing to go through registration again. If your existing password does not work, use Forgot Password to reset it rather than creating a new account — registering a duplicate account can cause confusion with your payslip history and HR records.

Account not set up yet in the system? Some new starters find that the app returns an error during registration even when they enter correct details. This often means your employee record has not yet been fully activated in Tesco’s People system — this can take up to a week after your start date. If you get an error that suggests your colleague number is not recognised, speak to your store manager or admin and ask them to check that your record is active in the People system. Once it is active, the app registration will work.

Logging In & Account Recovery

Once your account is set up, logging in is straightforward. Here is a full rundown of the login process and every account recovery scenario you might encounter.

Standard Login

  1. Open the My Tesco Colleague app.
  2. Enter your Tesco colleague email address and password.
  3. Tap Sign In. If 2FA is active (which it should be), you will receive a verification code by text to your registered mobile number.
  4. Enter the verification code when prompted. The code is typically valid for a few minutes — if it expires before you enter it, tap Resend Code.
  5. You are in. The app may ask if you want to enable biometric login (Face ID or fingerprint) — I would recommend doing this as it makes future logins much faster.

Forgotten Password

  1. On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot Password (usually a small link below the Sign In button).
  2. Enter your Tesco colleague email address.
  3. A password reset link will be sent to that email. Open the email and click the link — it is typically valid for 30 minutes.
  4. Create a new password following the requirements shown on screen.
  5. Return to the app and log in with your new password.

Cannot Access Your Tesco Email to Reset Password

This is the catch-22 that trips people up. If you have forgotten both your password and cannot get into your Tesco colleague email, you need human help to break the cycle. Go to your store and ask your manager or admin to reset your OurTesco account access via the People system. This is a standard admin task and should be resolved the same day. Alternatively, use the account help page at colleague-help.ourtesco.com which has options for locked or inaccessible accounts.

Account Locked After Too Many Failed Attempts

After a certain number of failed login attempts, your account will be locked as a security measure. Do not keep trying — each failed attempt extends the lockout period. Wait 15–30 minutes and then use the Forgot Password route to reset your credentials. If the account remains locked after a password reset, contact your store admin or use colleague-help.ourtesco.com.

Changed Phone Number and Cannot Receive 2FA Codes

If you have changed your mobile number and can no longer receive the 2FA verification codes, you cannot log in via the standard route. Contact your store admin and ask them to update your registered mobile number in the People system. Once updated, you should be able to receive codes on your new number. This is a common issue that store admins deal with regularly.

Finding Your Payslips & P60 in the App

This is the function most colleagues use the app for and it is important to know exactly where everything is and how it works.

How to Find Your Payslips

  1. Open the app and log in.
  2. Tap the three lines (hamburger menu) in the top right corner of the home screen.
  3. Scroll down the menu and tap Documents.
  4. Tap Pay. Your payslips will be listed here, most recent first.
  5. Tap any payslip to open it as a PDF. Use your phone’s share function to download, email, or print it.

How to Find Your P60

Your P60 is in the same location — Menu → Documents → Pay. It appears as a separate document in the list, usually labelled P60 with the relevant tax year. P60s are issued after the end of each tax year (5th April) and typically appear on the app within a few weeks of that date. If it is past mid-May and your P60 is not showing, speak to your store admin.

Payslip Not Appearing?

If it is on or after your expected payday and your payslip is not showing in the app, try the following in order: log out and log back in (this forces a refresh of your document list); check that your app is updated to the latest version; check the OurTesco browser version at ourtesco.com/experience/payslip/ to see if it shows there. If the payslip does not appear on the browser version either and it is more than one working day after your expected payday, contact your store admin or raise a pay query.

Downloading Payslips as PDF

Always download payslip PDFs and save them somewhere outside the Tesco system — your phone’s camera roll, a cloud storage service, or your email. System migrations have caused payslips to disappear from Tesco’s systems in the past (the Work & Pay migration being the primary example). Having your own local copies means you always have them regardless of what happens to Tesco’s systems. Do this monthly as a habit.

Viewing Your Rota & Shifts

The rota view in the app shows your upcoming scheduled shifts. Here is how to use it and what to look out for.

How to View Your Rota

  1. From the app home screen, look for the Rota or My Shifts section. On newer versions of the app this may be visible directly on the home screen as a summary of your next few shifts.
  2. Tap into the full rota view to see a week-by-week calendar of your scheduled shifts. Swipe left or right to navigate between weeks.
  3. Tap any individual shift to see the full details — start time, end time, department, and any notes attached to the shift.

What the Rota View Shows

  • Your contracted shifts as published by your manager.
  • Any additional shifts that have been added to your rota.
  • Approved holiday dates showing as absence on the calendar.
  • Bank holidays as applicable to your contract.

What the Rota View Does Not Show

  • Informal shift swaps arranged verbally with colleagues — these only show if they have been officially processed through the system by a manager.
  • Shifts added to the rota after you last refreshed — pull down to refresh if you think the rota has been updated since you last looked.
  • Pay rates or expected pay for each shift — that information is on your payslip, not the rota.

Enable notifications for rota changesIf you have allowed notifications from the app, you will receive an alert when your rota is updated or when a shift change has been made. This is genuinely useful — rota changes made at short notice are easy to miss if you are not checking the app regularly. Go to your phone’s Settings, find the My Tesco app, and make sure notifications are enabled. Within the app itself, check your notification preferences in the app settings menu.

Holiday & Absence in the My Tesco App

The holiday booking function in the app varies slightly by store — some stores use the app fully, others still use a combination of the app and paper forms or manager approval processes. Here is the general process.

Checking Your Holiday Balance

Your remaining holiday entitlement for the current holiday year is shown in the Holiday or Absence section of the app. This shows days taken, days booked (approved and pending), and days remaining. If the balance looks wrong, speak to your store admin — holiday records are managed in the People system and your admin can check and correct the balance.

Requesting Holiday Through the App

  1. Navigate to the Holiday or Annual Leave section of the app (location varies by app version — check the main menu).
  2. Select the dates you want to request.
  3. Confirm your request. The app will show the request as pending.
  4. Your manager will approve or decline the request. You will receive a notification when they respond.

Note that holiday requests through the app are still subject to your manager’s approval and your store’s holiday policy. The app does not guarantee holiday approval — it is a request submission tool, not an automatic booking system.

Superuser Tips & Things Most Colleagues Do Not Know

After spending a lot of time with this app, here are the things I have found that most colleagues either do not know about or are not using to their full advantage.

Download payslips monthly without fail

Set a recurring reminder on your phone for the day after payday each month. Download your payslip PDF and save it outside the app. Given Tesco’s system migration history, having your own archive of every payslip is the only reliable way to ensure you always have access to your pay history. A folder in Google Drive or iCloud takes two minutes to set up and will save you significant stress later.

Use biometric login from day one

Set up Face ID or fingerprint login when the app offers it during setup. Logging in with biometrics is dramatically faster than typing your email and password every time, and it is just as secure. This seems obvious but a surprising number of colleagues skip this step and then complain that logging in is slow or annoying.

The browser version has more detail on some payslips

The PDF available at ourtesco.com/experience/payslip/ via a browser is sometimes more detailed than what appears in the app — particularly useful if you need a payslip for a mortgage or detailed income verification. If a letting agent or financial institution needs maximum detail, try the browser version and download from there.

Complete mandatory training early

The app shows your outstanding training modules in the learning section. Completing mandatory training before the deadline avoids conversations with your manager about compliance, and some modules take longer than you expect. Getting ahead of deadlines is always the right move.

Check your personal details are current

Go into your profile and verify that your home address, phone number, and emergency contact details are up to date. Your address is where your final payslip goes if you leave. Your phone number is where HR and your manager will contact you in an emergency. Getting this wrong costs you at the worst possible times. Check it at least once a year.

Use the colleague recognition feature

If a colleague does something genuinely helpful, use the recognition feature to acknowledge it. Recognition sent through the official system goes on record and can support a colleague at their appraisal. It costs you nothing and means something. Similarly, recognitions you receive are visible in your profile and worth keeping an eye on at review time.

Force-refresh before trusting what you see

The app does not always update in real time. If you think your rota has been changed or a new payslip should be available, pull down on the screen to force a refresh before assuming the information is current. A lot of “the app is wrong” complaints are actually just stale cached data that a manual refresh would have fixed.

Keep the app updated

Enable automatic app updates for the My Tesco Colleague app. Tesco releases updates regularly that fix bugs and add features. Running an outdated version is one of the most common causes of login problems, missing payslips, and crashes. If you are having any problem with the app, the first question is always: is it on the latest version?

Know the browser fallback route

If the app is down, not loading, or behaving oddly, ourtesco.com/experience in any browser gives you the same core functionality. Payslips, documents, and most HR functions are accessible via browser. Having this as a mental backup means a misbehaving app never leaves you completely stuck.

Troubleshooting Common Problems

Here are the most common issues colleagues report with the My Tesco Colleague app, and the solutions that actually work.

ProblemMost Likely CauseFix
App crashes on openingOutdated app version or corrupted installationUpdate the app first. If that does not work, delete and reinstall it. Your data is server-side so reinstalling does not lose anything.
Cannot log in — wrong passwordForgotten password or expired sessionUse Forgot Password on the login screen. Reset via your Tesco colleague email.
Not receiving 2FA codeWrong phone number registered, poor signal, or code sent to old numberCheck signal. Wait 60 seconds and tap Resend. If still not arriving, ask store admin to update your registered mobile number in the People system.
Payslip not showingNot yet processed, or app needs refreshPull down to refresh. Check OurTesco browser version. If it is more than one working day after payday, contact store admin.
Registration failingEmployee record not yet active, wrong colleague number, or details mismatchDouble-check your colleague number and date of birth. If correct, ask your store admin to confirm your record is active in the People system.
Rota not showing or outdatedRota not yet published, or app showing cached dataPull down to refresh. Ask your manager when the rota is published for your store — some stores publish weekly, others further in advance.
App very slowPoor internet connection or phone storage nearly fullConnect to Wi-Fi. Clear some phone storage. Check if the issue persists on the browser version — if browser is fast but app is slow, reinstall the app.
Cannot access account — locked outToo many failed login attemptsWait 30 minutes. Do not keep trying. Use Forgot Password to reset. If still locked, go to colleague-help.ourtesco.com or ask store admin.

App not available in App Store / Play StoreOS version too oldCheck your OS version. Update your phone’s operating system if possible. If not possible, use the OurTesco browser version instead.

When Nothing Else Works

If you have tried everything above and the app still is not working for what you need, these are your escalation routes in order:

  • Store admin or wage clerk — fastest for most issues, especially payslip and access problems.
  • Line manager — can reset access via the People system and escalate to HR.
  • Colleague Help page: colleague-help.ourtesco.com — Contact Us → the relevant query type.
  • Payslip Helpline: 01462 652 397 (internal: 7891 65397) — Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. For payslip access issues specifically.
  • Email: [email protected] — for payslip access issues.

My Tesco Colleague App — FAQ

Is the My Tesco Colleague app free to download?

Yes, the My Tesco Colleague app is completely free to download from both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. There are no charges to download or use it. It is a tool provided by Tesco for colleagues and is entirely funded by the company.

Using the app does consume mobile data, so if you are on a limited data plan be aware of this. Most functions use a small amount of data, but downloading payslip PDFs will use a bit more. Connecting to Wi-Fi when using the app is good practice if you are on a tight data allowance.

There are no in-app purchases, subscriptions, or premium features — everything in the app is available to all colleagues equally at no cost.

Can I access the My Tesco Colleague app without a smartphone?

Not the app itself — the app requires a compatible smartphone. However, almost all the same functionality is available via browser at ourtesco.com/experience, which works on any device with an internet connection including computers, tablets, and smart TVs with browsers.

If you do not have a smartphone, use the OurTesco browser version on a computer — at home, at a library, or on a shared device — to access your payslips and HR functions. The browser version requires the same login credentials as the app and gives you access to all the key features.

Your store may also have a colleague computer or terminal that colleagues can use for OurTesco access — ask your manager if this is available in your store.

What is the difference between the My Tesco app and the Tesco Groceries app?

The My Tesco Colleague app (sometimes just called “My Tesco” or “OurTesco”) is for Tesco employees. It gives access to payslips, rotas, training, and HR functions. It requires a Tesco colleague login to use and is completely separate from anything customer-facing.

The Tesco Groceries app and the standard Tesco app are customer-facing apps for shopping, Clubcard, and delivery. They use a different login system (your customer Tesco.com account) and have nothing to do with employment or payroll.

When searching for the colleague app, search specifically for “My Tesco Colleague” or look for the app published by Tesco PLC that mentions colleague or employee access. If the app you find is asking for a Clubcard number rather than a colleague email, you have the wrong app.

Why can I not find the app in the App Store or Play Store?

The most common reason is that your phone’s operating system is too old. The app requires iOS 14 or later on Apple devices and Android 8.0 or later on Android devices. If your phone is running an older OS, the app will not appear in search results because it will be filtered out as incompatible.

The second possibility is that you are in the wrong App Store region. If your Apple ID is registered to a country other than the UK, UK-only apps may not appear. Make sure your App Store is set to the United Kingdom.

If your phone meets the requirements and the App Store is set correctly but the app still does not appear, try searching for “OurTesco” as the app name varies slightly between different updates. You can also go to ourtesco.com from your phone’s browser and look for the download link there.

Does the app work if I change stores?

Yes. The My Tesco Colleague app is linked to your colleague account, not to a specific store. If you transfer between stores, your payslip history, documents, and HR records will all still be accessible through the same app login. Your rota and shift view will update to reflect your new store once the transfer has been processed in the People system.

If you have transferred stores and your rota is not showing correctly, or your access seems to have changed, give it a few working days for the system to update after the transfer. If it has been more than a week and the rota is still showing the old store, ask your new store admin to check the transfer in the People system.

Your payslips and P60 history carry across the transfer — you do not lose historical documents when you move between Tesco stores within the same employment.

How do I update my home address in the My Tesco app?

Go to your profile or personal details section within the app. The exact navigation varies by app version but it is usually accessible from the main menu under your name or a profile icon. Look for a section labelled Personal Details or My Profile.

Not all personal details can be changed directly in the app — some changes, including address updates, may need to go through your store admin or be submitted via the People system. If you cannot find an edit option for your address in the app, ask your store admin to update it for you.

Keeping your address up to date is important for two reasons: your final payslip if you ever leave Tesco is posted to the address on file, and some HR correspondence is sent by post. An outdated address means you miss documents you may need.

I am a new starter. When will my payslip appear on the app?

Your first payslip appears on the app on or after your first payday with Tesco. Before your first payday, there are no payslips to display — the Documents section will be empty or not fully populated. This is normal and expected.

Your very first payslip as a new Tesco UK colleague typically appears as a paper payslip sent to your store, even if you have already set up the app. Ask your manager or store admin to hand you your paper payslip on or after your first payday. From your second payslip onward, they should appear directly in the app.

If it is more than two working days after your expected first payday and nothing has appeared either in the app or as a paper payslip in store, speak to your store admin. Do not assume the system will sort itself out — chase it actively.

Can my manager see when I log in to the app?

Your manager does not have visibility of when you personally log in to the My Tesco Colleague app. The app is your personal HR self-service tool and your login activity is not reported to store management. What managers can see is whether your mandatory training modules have been completed — that data is tracked and visible to your line manager for compliance purposes.

Your payslip access, rota views, holiday requests, and document downloads are all personal to you and not visible to your manager. Holiday requests are an exception — when you submit a holiday request through the app it goes to your manager for approval, so they are notified of that specific action.

Think of the app as the equivalent of an employee self-service portal — you have your own private account and the only data that flows to management is what is specifically designed to (training compliance, holiday requests, etc.).
